In less than a month, our Lakeview Community Association (LCA) membership drive begins! Throughout the month of May, volunteers will be knocking on your door and asking you to buy a Lakeview community membership.

Buying a membership goes a long way to ensuring that Lakeview continues to be a great place to live with an active and healthy community. A membership itself gives you many benefits:

• Access to the many neighbourhood amenities like the tennis courts, skating rink and Community Centre.

• The ability to participate in different programs and events such as Family Fun Day, soccer, wine-tastings, Oktoberfest, seniors’ lunches, community preschool, among others.

• Opportunity to attend the monthly board meetings and to vote at the Annual General Meeting

The membership dues help the LCA to advocate on behalf of the community with the city and province for issues affecting all of us, such as the ring road development.

When our membership canvassers come to your door, please thank them for volunteering.

If they miss you, memberships can be purchased:

• Online at → About → Online Registration

• At the LCA office in the Community Centre

• At the Shoppers Drug Mart in Lakeview Plaza

If you want to meet some neighbours, help out your community and have a few hours to spare in May, consider volunteering as a canvasser or zone captain. It’s fun and easy and we would greatly appreciate your help.
