At a special general meeting on March 3, 2018, Lakeview residents asked the board of the Lakeview Community Association to pursue alternatives to the long-term plan for 37th Street SW. Here are the results of the vote of 301 members of the community association:

QUESTION

Do you support the LCA exploring and pursuing alternative options with the province that pertain to 37 Street access north of the 5600 block?

YES: 182
NO: 119

QUESTION

With potential for increased traffic volume on 37 Street (south of 5600 block), we the residents and members of Lakeview request that the city applies the same rules to 37 Street as they do to any other residential street in Calgary? Do you agree?

YES: 199
NO: 101

Where do we go from here? This vote gives the Lakeview Community Association a position on which to represent the residents of Lakeview, but in no way guarantees a specific outcome.
